LEARNING  IS  A  JOURNEY  -  NOT  A  RACE ! ! !

This letter is an extract from the school prospectus for 2008 - 2009

Dear Parents

Thank you for taking an interest in our school and for reading this prospectus.   I hope you will find this document useful as it contains a variety of information about school life.   We have detailed our policies and what we hope to offer your child as they embark on their school life.

Our recent Ofsted Inspection in Spring 2008 rated the school as good with elements of outstanding.   We were encouraged that the Inspector recognised that this school has a strong and dedicated team of teachers and support staff and that the standard of teaching is high.  Most importantly, the Inspector also recognised that our children are well behaved, happy and well adjusted to school life.    The school is a warm, caring and inclusive school which has close links with parents to ensure each child reaches their full potential.    A strength of the school is that we focus on the ‘whole child’, believing it is as important to develop social as well as academic skills, within a nurturing environment.

Personally, having lived in the area most of my life, I am proud to be associated with Farnham   Common   Infant School .   I have sent both of my children to the school and have seen first hand, despite their differing natures and talents, how much they have enjoyed their time at the school and thrived as a result.   As a parent and chair of governors, I would have no hesitation in recommending this school for your child.

Yours sincerely

Julie Smith
