FARNHAM COMMON INFANT SCHOOL

NEWSLETTER

8th November, 2007

Dear Parents,

PLANTING BULBS

All the children have now planted a bulb in a position where the whole class can watch them grow. Many thanks to Mrs. Weller, Mrs. Hughes and Mrs. Spruzen for all their efforts to ensure the bulb planting was successful. If you intend to send in some sponsorship money to support the Myasthenia Gravis Association, but have not done so yet, please let us have it by 16th November. Cheques should be made payable to Farnham Common Infant School. In due course, we will let you know how much has been raised.

NON-UNIFORM BOTTLE DAY

The Friends of the School are busy organising the Christmas Fair. To help with raffle and tombola prizes, all the children are welcome to come to school on Friday, 23rd November in non-uniform providing they bring a bottle to school. This could be a bottle of wine, spirits, soft drink, toiletries, etc. There will be boxes outside school on that morning in which the bottles can be placed.

CHRISTMAS FAIR - FRIDAY, 30TH NOVEMBER

The Fair will start at 2 p.m. Children may be collected from 2 p.m. and must be collected by 3 p.m. They will need to be signed out from their classroom using the outside classroom door and then come into the Fair through the main school entrance. Lunch boxes, etc. may be left on pegs to be collected when you have finished enjoying the Fair. Please make sure childminders, etc. know about these arrangements.

Please look out for other information about the Fair that the Friends of the School will be sending to you.

CHRISTMAS TREES

You will be receiving another leaflet about ordering Christmas trees. Should you use this company, £2.50 will be donated to the school.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs. J.R. Coleman,
Head Teacher.
