Farnham Common Infant School is committed to providing an education and environment which offer equality of opportunity and freedom from discrimination,

This applies to everyone involved with the School – pupils, parents, staff, governors, volunteers, and the wider community. At Farnham Common Infant School , we believe it is essential to create and maintain a safe, welcoming, happy, caring and supportive environment in which everyone feels valued, respected and fairly treated. To achieve this, we need the cooperation of everyone involved with the school.

to provide each pupil with equal access to an education which will enable him or her to utilise his or her talents to the full
to ensure that good equal opportunities practice permeates all aspects of School life and applies to all children and adults involved with the School
to raise awareness among children and adults of issues regarding equal opportunities which may occur inside or outside the School environment
to foster understanding and respect between people
to respond promptly and effectively to any concerns that we may not be achieving our equal opportunities aims and policies in any area.

Other School policies – for example, on special needs, anti-bullying, assessment- also seek to create equal opportunities and freedom from discrimination.
